Nursing homes aren’t generally renowned for their interior design credentials but Gracewell Healthcare has a strong ethos of quality care that’s combined with luxurious surroundings. With an existing portfolio of various care homes, and more planned over the next few years, Gracewell places a strong emphasis on the furnishings and fittings in all of its properties.

Inside Out was commissioned to supply furniture for dining rooms and day rooms in a number of their nursing homes. The brief called for tables and chairs that had a bright, modern feel but also took into account the limited mobility of some residents and the requirement to maximise space around and between the tables.

Our Candy Bar Table Bases fitted the brief perfectly as they’re easily accessible making them ideal for residents using walking aids or wheelchairs. The white powder-coated bases were paired with Italian Carrara Marble table tops to create a contemporary and homely feel that incorporated classic elements. The dining rooms are all bright, airy and spacious and the tables helped to achieve the desired look and keep the spaces fresh and uncluttered.
